Bon Appetit blogged about the California Senate Banning the Sale, Purchase and Possession of Shark Fins in the state of California. They Also linked to a video by Gordon Ramsay that covers his travels uncovering the cruelty and silliness that surrounds this relatively tasteless product. I can’t agree more with the California Senate’s decision in this regard and can only hope that further states and countries jump on the same bandwagon. I have embedded the video below, some parts of the video are quite disturbing, but I think it’s important that more and more people become aware of this ridiculous and unnecessary cruelty.
