Google will blur explicit photos in search results. Whatever your feelings about Google, it does provide an excellent set of free tools to help keep kids safe online.
One of the finest is Family Link, an Android parental control tool that lets parents limit screen time while also putting some safeguards in place for online searches.
SafeSearch, one of these guard rails, has been around for a long time.
The function is activated automatically for anyone under the age of 18 who signs in with their Google account, regardless of whether their parent uses Family Link or not.
Google is now expanding the function to obscure what it considers to be sexual photos in search results even when SafeSearch is deactivated.

The goal is to keep children from encountering indecent images when surfing the web.
However, the presence of a visible ‘Examine Image’ button implies that curious children (or anybody else) can still choose to view it if they so like.
They will also have the option to Manage Settings and disable SafeSearch.
Google hasn’t placed a precise date on when SafeSearch blurring will be accessible, but says it will happen “in the next months”.

However, this isn’t the only new feature on the way.
- Soon, iPhone owners will be able to configure Face ID so that only they can access the Google app on their devices.
- The program already offers an Incognito mode and the option to remove the previous 15 minutes of your Google account’s search history.
- Face ID adds an extra degree of protection for your Google data in the event that someone manages to pick up your phone when it’s unlocked.
Google Virtual Card:
Google launched Virtual Cards in May 2022. These let you pay for products and services online without having to enter the three-digit CVV number on the back of your real card.

Previously, they were exclusively available to Capital One cardholders, but Amex users may now use them as well.
Biometric authentication:
Finally, on compatible PCs, Google’s password manager will be able to employ a fingerprint scanner (or other biometric authentication) before auto-filling passwords on login windows.
Furthermore, the same authentication uses to display secret passwords and copy or change them.
Eliminating the need to input your primary password.

SafeSearch is a feature offeres by Google that helps filter out explicit or inappropriate content from search results.
When enabled, SafeSearch uses algorithms to screen web pages and remove potentially harmful content such as:
- adult content
- violence
- hate speech.
To turn on SafeSearch in Google, you can go to the “Settings” page and select “Filter explicit results.”
Note that while SafeSearch can help reduce the amount of explicit content in search results.
It is not a guarantee that all explicit content filtered out.
SafeSearch can turn on or off from the Google Search settings page and lock.
