Google Plans Voice Navigation in Indian Languages

Google maps has become the life line of travellers exploring new destinations and locations. With the help of Google maps we can explore a big city like Mumbai with ease. Last month Google rolled out the turn-by-turn voice navigation in India and today it revealed it plans on bringing support for local languages in India for Google Maps.

The voice navigation will help the drivers to concentrate on driving and need not look at screen again and again for navigation help and tracking of route. While, it did not reveal when exactly voice navigation will support Indian languages , however it did say that this would happen soon. Additionally, the company revealed that it is still in talks with the government to bring Street View service to the country, but there has been no breakthrough. Apart from this, it revealed that the Google Navigation package in Android would see further improvements over the next six to eight months as the company collects more data.
