Google's mid-range Pixel 4a was announced back in August, and the company had promised the phone would be launched in India later in the year. True to its claims, the Pixel 4a is finally making its debut on Indian shores two months after its global launch.
The Pixel 4a is powered by a Snapdragon 730G chipset with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Users get a 5.81-inch OLED display with Gorilla Glass 3, as well as a 3,140 mAh battery that can be quickly charged with 18W.

Google is cutting prices
What is surprising, however, is Google's aggressive pricing for the Pixel 4a in India. The phone will retail in India for Rs 31,999 (~ USD 435). The introductory price is set at Rs 29,999 (~ $ 410) when the phone goes on sale on Flipkart on October 16.
This is in sharp contrast to earlier launches. The Pixel 3a, for example, debuted in the country at Rs. 39,999 (~ $ 545), making it a non-runner in tough competition.
The aggressive pricing of the Pixel 4a in India contrasts with the OnePlus Nord. While the latter has more powerful hardware like a Snapdragon 765G chipset and more RAM, the Pixel 4a counters with a clean Android build, three years of faster updates and of course the flagship camera.
Google is also unveiling its newest smart speaker, Nest Audio, in India. The redesigned speaker outputs 75% more volume and 50% more bass. Nest Audio is priced at Rs 7,999 (~ $ 110) in India, with an introductory discount of Rs 6,999 (~ $ 95). Both Pixel 4a and Nest Audio will be available on Flipkart as well as offline retailers like Reliance Retail and Tata Cliq.
