Google has announced its first smartphone of 2020 in the name of Pixel 4A. As you may already know, this is the updated version of the Pixel 'A' series devices that Google introduced last year.

In addition to the Pixel 4A, Google also announced the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4A (5G). However, these devices will arrive in the fall of 2020.

Pixel 4A Specifications: What's in the Budget Pixel?

Google has made efforts to make the Pixel 4A competitive enough to be in the mid-budget segment. Here are the features offered by the Pixel 4A:

After seeing the specifications of the Pixel 4A, it's clear that the device has a lot of features to appeal to its user base. For example, the Pixel 4A comes with more RAM, retains the 3.5mm jack, and now includes a faster USB 3.1 port for fast data transfers.

Google has priced the device at $ 349 in an attempt to pit it against the recently launched 2020 iPhone SE and others. Still, Apple's offering leads the way in terms of features, offering Qi wireless charging and a much more powerful A13 SoC under the hood. However, the Pixel 4A can score extra points for a denser display, among other things.

One area where Google seems too stubborn to upgrade is video frame rate. The Pixel 4A offers 4K recording but caps the frame rate at 30 fps. Hopefully that should change to save the waning popularity of its devices. These days 60fps in kind is standard on devices in the $ 400 price range.

The Pixel 4A is in pre-order in the United States and will be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Japan, Italy, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.
