Responding to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari's announcement on twitter about the opening of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway on April 1, Anand Mahindra responded to the minister's tweet saying that these highways will not just add percentage points to our GDP growth but also knit India together.

The 96 km-long 14-lane expressway will reduce travel time between Meerut and Delhi to 45 minutes. The project has been constructed at a cost of Rs.8,346 crore in the state of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. This expressway is being developed as a Smart Expressway in which road users will not only get the full information on climate, traffic and other related details of the expressway but also get the information of accidents (if any) at different locations.

Anand Mahindra in January, impressed by the performance of six cricketers-- Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Shubman Gill, T Natarajan, Navdeep Saini and Washington Sundar— in the noted India-Australia series match, announced that he would gift them Mahindra Thars.
T Natarajan posted pictures of him with his new car, and thanked Anand Mahindra for the promised gift. “Playing cricket for India is the biggest privilege of my life. My #Rise has been on an unusual path. Along the way, the love and affection, I have received has overwhelmed me. The support and encouragement from wonderful people, helps me find ways to #ExploreTheImpossible,” he said.T Natarajan posted pictures of him with his new Mahindra Thar. To return the favour, the cricketer sent Mahindra his signed Gabba Test series jersey. “As I drive the beautiful @Mahindra_Thar home today, I feel immense gratitude towards Shri @anandmahindra for recognising my journey & for his appreciation. I trust sir, that given your love for cricket, you will find this signed shirt of mine from the #Gabba Test, meaningful,” Natarajan tweeted. Mahindra replied to the tweet saying that he will “treasure the jersey and wear it with pride.”

Almost two years after a Tamil Nadu woman won over the internet for serving idlis at low cost for daily wage workers, Anand Mahindra fulfilled his promise to support and “invest” in her venture. The business tycoon recently shared the delightful news that the octogenarian would soon have a house of her own, which would also function as her new food joint. Kamalathal from Coimbatore went viral as ‘Idli Amma’ in 2019 for cooking and selling idlis for just Re 1. For over 30 years, she has been running her business from a tiny shanty shop. However, she wasn’t concerned about making profits and extended her services keeping in mind those in need.
Her thoughtful gesture had moved the Chairman of Mahindra Group at the time, he first provided her LPG connection and after knowing that her priority was a new home cum workspace, Mahindra’s companies rallied their forces by helping register land in her name. “Only rarely does one get to play a small part in someone’s inspiring story, and I would like to thank Kamalathal, better known as Idli Amma, for letting us play a small part in hers,” Mahindra wrote online while making the announcement.
