Hi everyone! This week I'm going to talk about one of those controversial aggressive shots, and it's something that I don't generally teach, but you all should at least have it in your toolbelt.
Going down the line or right at the net person is what is known as a "low percentage shot", meaning you may hit a winner but there's a good chance you'll hit an error as well. Set the tone early in the match (when you see the opportunity) and go right at the net person! Not only will this intimate your opponent, it will probably upset them...GOOD!
NOTE: Until you really practice this, make sure you don't do this on key points like deuce or 4-4! In addition, make sure it's on a ball you feel you are in total control of...for example, an easy second serve return.
