Going Bye Bye

n a packed courtroom, Butch Long (Walter Long) vows revenge on ‘squealers’ Laurel and Hardy whose evidence has helped to send him to prison for the rest of his life, threatening to “break off their legs and wrap ’em around their necks!” after Laurel makes a suggestion to the judge (Harry Dunkinson), “Aren’t you going to hang him?” Later, in the car, Ollie repeats this question sarcastically, since he saw Long’s reaction just after Stan said it; he then asks Stan, “Couldn’t you see that he was annoyed?”
