Tomorrow Frank Schilling’s Uniregistry is launching their first 2 new gTLD extensions .Sexy and .Tattoo however if you want to register one you won’t be able to do it at Godaddy.com
Godaddy.com is not carrying Uniregistry strings at the moment, nor is NetworkSolutions.com or Register.com which are part of Web.com (WWWW) or 1and1.com or UnitedDomains.com which are part of the same parent company which owns Sedo.com
Matter of fact 9 out of the top 10 domain name registrars in the world as listed by RegistrarStats.com are not handling domain name registrations for .Sexy or .Tattoo
The only top 10 domain name registrar taking .Sexy or .Tattoo registrations is Enom.com
There are plenty of domain name registrars that will be processing .Sexy and .Tattoo domain name registrations, the complete list is here.
I believe these are the 1st new gTLD’s that will launch without the participation of Godaddy and some of the other top 10 domain name registrars. It is certainly possible that over time Go Daddy will come on board and start selling Uniregistry strings. Go Daddy has expressed an interest to be a one stop shop and carry all the strings, so we will have to see when they decide to carry Uniregistry strings.
Frank will be unveiling his own registrar on March 8 which will carry all the Uniregistry strings.…
