Godaddy Drops .TV Domain Extension From Registration Drop Down Menu

Posted on the 10 July 2013 by Worldwide @thedomains

Godaddy.com has removed the .TV extension from its drop down menu of domain name extensions you can choose from when trying to register a domain name.

Of course when the largest domain name registrar on the planet drops an domain extension from the drop down menu.

Currently the Godaddy.com drop down menu contains only seven extensions in the following order:

.Com

.Co

.info

.Net

.Org

.Me

.Mobi

I know that a lot of domainers will be as surprised that .Mobi is in the list of seven domain extensions on the Godaddy drop down registration menu, as to see .TV off the list.

Its not only important for registrars to be included on the drop down menu on Godaddy but for domain holders as well who list their premium domains for sale with Godaddy as those domain extensions that are listed on the drop down menu seem to be the  first options to be shown for premium domains as well.

I checked the availability of several taken .com domains to see what alternatives Godaddy.com would give me and .TV was not even one of the options.
