GoDaddy Billboard Makes Little Sense

Not ones afraid of throwing down a big chunk of cash for advertising, GoDaddy.com has recently posted a gigantic billboard in Times Square. No scantily-clad female celebrities here, so I had a hard time believing this was one of their ads. But since the spokesperson, Mario Andretti, tweeted about it, I think it’s safe to say this is legit.

I like the concept of “live life between the dots,” but the execution falls short. “WWW.” and “.COM” are the very last things I read, so I don’t read it as “www.marioandretti.com”. I might recognize Mario a little better in racing gear than a GoDaddy shirt, too. And do you need two logos? I will say it’s refreshing not to see something blatantly misogynistic as they are used to doing.
