Goal Dress

By Gray Eyed Athena @grayeyedowl

As most of you know, I have a first goal of 130 pounds by the wedding B and I will attend in late June.  This is totally feasible, and hopefully I will weigh even less than that!  I have an amazing friend at work, K, who is such a cheerleader to me (I don’t discuss my weight with many people, at all) and she is a  teeny tiny little pistol of a chick who loves to work out and eat healthy.  Match made in heaven!

K told me how she just bought a “goal dress” to keep her motivated while she works on adding muscle to her 115 pound frame by doing P90X Insanity for the next two months.  That is such an awesome way to keep yourself on track… stealing into the closet to stroke your goal dress and imagine how hot you’ll look when you get in it!  To that end, I’ve started a wishlist of ideas for the dress I plan on wearing at that wedding in June.

Coral is definitely the color I’m envisioning.  Classic, clean and feminine lines, but with an added element of subtle sex appeal.  I love lace, an exposed back, a light floral element, and always a lady like knee length… or something in that area.  I’m thinking I’ll pair the dress with a nude or pale coral wedge sandal (elongate those legs!), and some bold seafoam jewelry and a structural seafoam jacket/blazer of some sort.  I’ll also need a tiny purse or clutch.  That plus a tan, longer hair, and a mani/pedi and I hope to be looking halfway decent.  I’m motivated already!  There is also the added incentive of looking as good as possible because B’s ex-girlfriend will probably be at the wedding… need I say more?

The photos in the slideshow below have some of the elements I’m looking for.  I’ll probably start actually shopping in June.
