This little thing named Super Seisyun Brothers tells the story of four brothers and sisters. The two older sisters and the two younger brothers are best friends and we follow their daily lives.

As you may have guessed from the title, this belongs to the slice of life genre. It is also a short. And it does not have a lot of episodes.

To put it quickly, if it was not a slice of life anime it would be perfect.

Except it is.

What I mean is, there is nothing better suited to the slice of life genre than a short.

I am the kind of person who watches so much anime that it is sometimes hard to get my attention for a long period of time. I find it especially difficult to get into a slice of life anime, it usually all depends on the characters and the tone of the whole thing.

Anyway, what I was trying to say is that Super Seisyun Brothers is short and because it is short it does not have the time to become boring. I could even say that I found that one pretty funny. I am sure it would not have worked so well if it was longer.

As a summary, the story is nothing special but it is short and funny and so it is not boring.

In terms of characters, I did not think they were anything special at all. The boys especially are pretty normal considering what kind of monsters they have for sisters. There is one who is totally in love with himself though, then again, his sister is completely in love with 3D. I guess they are suited to each other.

The thing that’s interesting is their interaction. We see each “couple” of friends together or alone and how they react and how they interact, also with their siblings and their friends. It was easily relatable. Everything was actually. That is one of the things that made Super Seisyun Brothers so nice to watch.

I managed, for once, to relate to normal people and that my friends is an achievement that is rarely attained. (For the sake of argument let us believe that the blonde big sister is normal, despite being a fujoshi. At least she does not try to kill everyone. She totally goes by the motto “make love not war”. Well, she does ship her own little brother and that is creepy and I do not do it and I think I am going to stop right now.)

When it comes to seiyuu, it is going to be real quick, we only have four main ones, since we have four main characters. Nozomi Yamamoto as Chiko is still rather new, she did not have a lot of roles before, mostly, she is in Love Live and that means she can sing and I like that. Ryouta Osaka as Chika has been growing on me ever since he voiced Sadao Maou in Hataraku Maou-sama, I hope he gets even more roles from now on. Ai Kayano as Mako is a bit more well-known than her counterparts, I cannot say a lot, I am actually quite indifferent about her, she is not the best but not the worst, in a way, perfect for the role because she sounds normal. Lastly Kaito Ishikawa as Mao was probably my favorite member of the cast. He was Harutora in Tokyo Ravens and Tsumugu in NagiAsu and Ledo in Gargantia … I think I might have fallen for him.

I also somehow liked the art style quite a lot. It is nothing too special but it is bright, it sometimes even sparkles, and who does not like sparkles?

I had fun watching Super Seisyun Brothers, not as much fun as I had watching Senyuu or Azazel but it still was entertaining for a slice of life. It reminded me a bit of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou in terms of tone and atmosphere, so, if you liked it, you probably will like Super Seisyun Brothers too.
