Servant x Service is a comedy that revolves around a group of people who are starting their work as civil servants. We follow them through their work life and personal life as they deal with strange people in and out of work. But mostly at work.

If I started this it is for a very simple reason, mainly, I am a civil servant. (My secret is out ^^) I always find it very fun to watch something that may relate to me.
And I did find some things that are a bit relevant to my situation but seriously, the people in Servant x Service are all nuts.
It really is a good thing for the comedy to have crazy characters, they are easy to make fun of, they are easy to use in general. Not only that but, in all honesty, many civil servants do have a few screws loose. (Aren’t I proof enough of that?)
I think my favorite might have been Hasebe. Because he is endearing and probably the one who has been developed the most. You see, Hasebe starts out as a very annoying guy whom you feel the need to punch. But then, gradually, and while he never really stops slacking of, he becomes quite cute and even pretty loveable. He was definitely the most surprising and one of the cutest characters of this show, also the funniest. (The cutest might be their boss but I will let you be the judge of that.)
Second character to get focused on is Lucy etc. You see, Lucy has a very strange motive to have entered the civil service. Lucy wants to find the one who accepted her name and wants to take revenge on him. Except she is very shy and adorable.
Actually everyone is a bit like that. Everyone has their own little quirks that makes them endearing. I do not think I have disliked a single one of those characters, each one is both adorable and very funny.
As you may have guessed the plot is almost irrelevant. Somehow, what started to be a slice of life comedy about Lucy getting her revenge and everyone trying to get used to their new job turned to be a love comedy in the end. Do not ask me how it happened I have no idea, but it did and it was well done.
Quickly Servant x Service became the anime I could not wait to watch and I actually miss it.
As far as seiyuu are concerned, Servant x Service somehow consecrated my love for Tatsuhisa Suzuki. You see, that guy here voiced Hasebe. He also happens to be voicing Makoto from Free!, Takao from Kuroko no Basket and Haru from Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun. You can’t really say these characters are of the same kind, and that’s something I really like. He did well as Hasebe, this character has a lot of similarities with Haru so I recognized him instantly but I actually didn’t realize until now he also was Makoto.
Ai Kayano on the other hand is a voice actress I am not so familiar with, mainly because she sounds pretty generic. (Sorry!) That doesn’t mean she is not good, quite the contrary actually, but she does not stand out but she can deliver pretty much any kind of role and that is proof of talent.
The anime also features Mai Nakaharaas Miyoshi, who also consistently delivers nice performances, it also has Aki Toyosaki, who also consistently delivers and obviously Takahiro Sakuraiwho is always a nice bonus to any anime.
In short, it is definitely recommended, especially if you want to laugh at something cute.
