Go 612 East !

612 East is a Pan-Asian restaurant located in 12th Main of Indiranagar. The best thing about this place is the fact that the place is huge and is spread over 3 floors. There is even an entire floor dedicated for dinning under the sun and a separate floor for private parties and large gathering. The decor is modern with comfortable seating and when you’re at 612 East music is the last thing you should worry about.

We tried a specially curated menu that had all the house favorites. Therefore, we started off with the Simple Passion, a welcome drink made from Orange and Passion fruit. The cocktails at 612 East are modern and quirky like the Mystic Candy, a drink made from the cotton candy which gives it its distinct color. The Bubble Bath is yet another such drink topped with a lot of cranberry foam, delicious. But my personal favorite was the Coco Pina Margarita, which was served semi-frozen. The drink had the right balance between coconut milk, pineapple and sugar. We also tried the Molecular Jagerbomb, which had a molecular sphere of Jagerbomb in Red Bull. It wasn’t as potent as I thought it would be!

The Kurkuri Bhindi is a crunchy and tangy appetizer. Though I am not a bhindi fan, this one really gets your taste buds rolling. The Chutney Wala Paneer Tikka is light grilled Paneer with lots of green chutney. The taste was decent. The Vietnamese Veg Skewers are marinated vegetables on a stick. The Choux Pastry Spinach and Mushroom Tart is a European classic. The tart was crunchy and has a creamy filling of Mushrooms and Spinach. Must try!

For the main course, we tried their Grilled Vegetables and Hummus Pizza. This thin crust pizza is topped with grilled zucchini, olives and Hummus. The texture was creamy and it just melted in the mouth. The Grilled Vegetable Yogurt Cake are pan tossed yogurt cakes served with rice and a rich tomato gravy. Lastly, we had the Coconut Crème Brulee for dessert. This creamy coconutty filling is topped with a thin layer of caramelized sugar. The combination of the crunchy layer and the creamy filling really made this Crème Brulee worth every effort. The sugar was just perfect.
