A growing number of people around the world are reporting service interruptions to a number of Google services, including Gmail and Google Drive.
A widespread outage in popular Google services began just after 12 p.m. ET on Thursday. According to DownDetector, people reported problems from the US, Europe and parts of Asia including India, Japan, Singapore and Australia. Gmail users reported having problems attaching files and being unable to send and receive email. Some even had trouble logging in.

The Google app status page stated that there are also service disruptions with Google Meet, Google Docs, Google Keep and Google Voice.
Google says it is "still investigating" and will provide an update by 4:21 PM ET stating when it will be resolved.
Twitter saw a number of complaints about the service disruption.

Gmail and Google Drive suffered a global outage in March last year, which also affected people's ability to send email.
