"America, run for your lives," Glenn Beck says, "This is really dangerous."
An increasingly popular idea has Glenn Beck warning Americans to run for their lives, to get out of America while they still can.
The topic that has Beck giving this alarming warning is a proposal that would prevent American companies being allowed to leave the United States of America as well as demanding those companies sign a "loyalty oath," which is being advocated by Jonathan Alter at the Daily Beast.
Alter said in an article Monday that, because “unpatriotic” companies like Walgreens are relocating outside of the United States in record numbers to avoid high taxes, it is time to think “creatively” of a way to force them to remain.
Alter’s solution was to force companies to sign “non-desertion agreements.”
Alter goes a step further, insisting that Barack Obama should sign an executive order stating that if companies want to keep their federal contracts they would have to sign the NDA agreement and under Alter's "scheme" companies that do sign it would embed an emblem of some kind into their corporate insignia and any company that did not sign it or have the emblem "would face the kind of public shaming that has gone out of fashion but could come back with a vengeance: boycotts, petitions, angry shareholder meetings full of the language of patriotism."
Beck said companies are fleeing America because we have the highest corporate tax rates in the developed world, and they can’t afford to continue doing business here.
“If 47 companies have now left and renounced their citizenship, that should tell you something,” Beck said. “We’re doing something wrong. … They are building walls now, figurative walls, to keep American citizens in. The Berlin Wall was not to stop the west Germans from going in, but [to stop] the east Germans from leaving.”
In the short video below, Beck explains his reasoning as to why companies owe it to themselves, their stockholders, their employees and their businesses to protect themselves from the government stealing almost 50 percent of their profits.
As the graph below the video shows, it is not only companies saying goodbye to America, but record numbers of citizens are as well.
