Hotel Chocolat, the chocolatier and cocoa grower is to open a new chocolate shop and its first cocoa bar cafe in Glasgow within Princes Square. It will be right in the centre of Glasgow's busy style mile at Buchanan Street and will offer not only sales of chocolate for you to take home but also a cafe to sit in and enjoy some chocolate goodies.

Edinburgh already has a Hotel Chocolat cafe so we know what Glasgow can look forward to delights such as power porridge, which is organic oats with cocoa nibs-flavours include 100% dark chocolate or there is also salted caramel or hazelnut chocolate or if you like some heat to get you going chilli chocolate. As well as hot chocolate there are chocolate tea infusions, coffee, tea and cold drinks. Food wise you can find cakes and sandwiches with some delicious looking and sounding brownies - salted caramel brownie anyone?

The new site is expectd to be open at the end of June and will be located in the former "Three" unit at the front of Princes Princes Square on Buchanan Street.

"Hotel Chocolat is delighted to be expanding its Glasgow presence in Princes Square. I am sure that this iconic location will be very popular with our customers," said Peter Harris, Co-Founder of Hotel Chocolat.

Claire Wilkinson, Princes Square's marketing manager said: "We're excited that another 'first' is coming to Princes Square. Lots of visitors to Glasgow come here to enjoy the whole experience the centre offers, and our bars, restaurants and cafes have a great reputation for providing some of the best service around. We're looking forward to Hotel Chocolat opening and are in no doubt they will add to the Princes Square experience and complement other retailers that are here."
