I was curious about the brand, Glamskin, as well as its products while browsing CHARIS, an onlineinfluencer store based in South Korea. (Read about CHARIS here). And while this Glamskin body lotion doesn’t really stand out beside some promising skin care products at CHARIS, it is surprisingly a gem. The super cute printed artwork on the box is one thing (well, what can we expect? Koreans sure do have their way with packagings); the smell and the way it gives moisture to my skin? Superb!
How do you say that your lotion is a good one? I actually had a hard
time answering that question. To me, as long as the lotion smells good and
doesn’t make my skin feel sticky, I’m good. I also don’t have a particular
favorite body lotion, but now, I think I do. Glamskin Papaya & Grapefruit
Body Pearl Moisturizing Lotion is nothing like any lotion I’ve tried so far.
This lotion has a watery consistency, which I find unique and
interesting. It’s nothing like the usual thick and creamy consistency of the other
body lotion in the market. Because of that, it tends to get absorbed easily by
the skin, saving me from the nightmare of stickiness. It also feels weightless
the moment you apply it to your skin, it’s like you’re using water as your
lotion plus all its benefits!
Don’t even get me started with its smell. Glamskin Papaya &
Grapefruit Body Pearl Moisturizing Lotion smells divine! I don’t know how to
describe it scent, but it’s very fruity – more grapefruit than papaya, if I may
say so. The scent is not overwhelming, just enough to make you feel fresh
instantly – it’s addicting. Sadly, it doesn’t stick long, 1 hour and the smell
is gone.
On the other hand, it does moisturize my skin really well. My skin feels lighter and fresh all day. As I mentioned earlier, it doesn’t give me a sticky feeling even after I sweat, and I sweat a lot! It’s like it’s gone the moment I applied it, but leaving my skin well-tamed from dryness. If only it also has an SPF in it and it’ll be perfect, but I guess you can’t always have the best of both worlds, yes?
