Gladys Knight is taking her seat in Oprah’s Master Class on Saturday night (Sept. 23rd). In a clip released by the OWN network, Gladys shares that Master Class has allowed her the freedom to discuss her spirituality.
In another clip Gladys Knight shares how “Gladys Knight & The Pips” almost didn’t happen.
Ms. Gladys reveals that the group (they were called “The Pips” at that time) was supposed to leave for New York one night to sign a record deal. Gladys didn’t want to go, because she had a track meet the next day. Gladys shared that her mother chimed in with some words of wisdom.
“Opportunities are bald- headed, and sometimes when you don’t reach out and grab them, they slip right through your fingers.”
