Give cheap Mother's Day flowers a make-over

Money is one of the main concerns when buying a gift. Even when you are spoiling somebody as important as your own mother, finances can be limited and this is frustrating, to say the least. When you send flowers for Mother's Day, the last thing anyone wants is for mum to think that they bought the cheapest flowers they could find. We all want our mothers to be impressed and happy with the flowers they receive. Of course, this does not mean that you need to spend a fortune. Here's how you can make a cheaper bouquet look like it cost much more!

First, you should start by choosing the right kind of flowers for mum. Take some extra time and think about whether you would prefer the traditional approach or if you want to spoil mum with a bunch of her favourites. Usually, when you send her a bunch of her favourite flowers, she will know that you put extra care into your selection. This is what they mean by the thought that counts! Florists often offer several sizes from which to choose. If you are able to spend a bit more, you can upsize your bouquet. If you are limited, opt for a medium or small bunch and spruce it up yourself.

A simple bouquet will not cost an arm and a leg. Plus, you can dress it up in such a way that it will look even more impressive. So, don't have the florist deliver the flowers to your mum. You should have the flowers sent to your door so that you can make sure they look their best! Pick up some tissue paper and a colourful ribbon. When the flowers arrive, if you don't like the wrapping, you can remove and re-wrap your flowers. Vases are great but they cost more than tissue paper so you will need to choose the option that best suits your budget. If your florist offers a free vase with the flowers, then by all means take it!

If you would like to add something extra to the bouquet, you can add a flower pick or even a photo pick to make it extra personal. Print out a special photo of you and mum together. Attach the photo to the pick and add it to the bouquet. If you are worried about the photo getting damaged, you can perhaps laminate it before attaching it to the flower arrangement. Also, just because you will be receiving the flower delivery does not mean that you cannot have the florist include a message! The card will come included with the flowers so you might as well write something special. If you would prefer to include your own card, it's entirely up to you.

Even flowers ordered from your local or online florist can be turned into an even more personal gift. There is no need to spend beyond your means if you want to show mum how much you love her! All of these little tricks are affordable and easy to do in minutes.
