Story: Girls on Film starts when Jenna (Taylor) finds herself evicted from her home for making illicit content. She has been trying to make money to follow her dream of attending nursing school. Jenna gets a new place to live with a spoilt young woman Blake (Grey). She has lived a life of luxury for years and looks to push Jenna to the next level.
As the two women get to know each other, they start getting involved in an erotic relationship. Jenna’s online popularity skyrockets when the pair start filming together. However, Blake’s damaged life starts to come back to haunt her causing an unusual toxic relationship between the pair.
Verdict on Girls on Film
Girls on Film is a romantic drama following a young woman trying to fund her education and have a normal life. However, her latest landlord encourages her to continue her content work leading to a whirlwind romance. Now, she is left in a difficult position to make large amounts of money or follow her dreams.
This is a steamy thriller showing how easily people can get caught up in a certain world. Along with the romantic side of a relationship, they weren’t ready for it. There is also the subject of addiction causing people to make drastic decisions, taking over their lives. The three main points come together to show how easily people can be drawn into the world. This shows us the problems with the online content-making world. It shows the pressure and draws to remain in it despite the dangers it could pose.
Final Thoughts –Girls on Film is a steamy thriller with a big message.
