Girl Guides of Canada Hosts The Great Canadian Camp-in on June 6

Family fun while physical distancing: Girl Guides of Canada and the David Suzuki Foundation host The Great Canadian Camp-in

The Guiding Year has was cut short because of the COVID-19 pandemic, which not only meant meetings were canceled but also the most fun event of the season- summer camp! Girl Guides of Canada has been working on creative ways to connect with their Guiding units to make sure the girls don't miss out on all of the things Girl Guides has to offer. On June 6 Girl Guides of Canada, in partnership with the David Suzuki Foundation, will host The Great Canadian Camp-in!

As many of you know, I'm a Girl Guide Leader. I have really missed Guiding with my Brownies unit. I was looking forward to finding a new unit when I moved to Ottawa, but unfortunately volunteering with Girl Guides of Canada has been put on hold for me. That's why I'm really excited about this event!

All families can take part- not just members of Girl Guides of Canada- in an event that will explore the fun and connection of camping! Whether you're sleeping under the stars in the backyard, or pitch a tent in your living room, it will be fun to find creative ways to transform your space into a campsite.
