Gionee is one of the most famous Chinese smartphone manufacturer in India, and they have been launching budget smartphones with top of the line specifications, just like any other Chinese player. They recently updated their brand identity and did many positive changes to the brand that will help it gain a bigger market share. Expanding their smartphone list, the company today launched the Gionee Marathon M5 Plus. 
Gionee's Marathon series is known for giving mammoth sized battery that ultimately give really long usage time, and this device is no different. The Gionee Marathon M5 Plus houses a 5020 mAh battery pack, and you can expect the device to last for about 2 days. The company has also included fast charging feature, which will further enhance the usage experience. The company claims a standby of up to 34 days!
The device isn't small, rather, it comes with a 6-inch Super AMOLED display and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080. It has a 2.5D curved glass on top, which was seen only in high end devices till now. A home button sits right below the display and also doubles as a fingerprint scanner, which can unlock the device within 0.38 seconds. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop version, and has Amigo UI 3.1 on top. A 13 MP shooter sits on the back of the device and is accompanied by an LED flash. The front facing camera of the device is rate at 5 MP.
Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, and it is capable of offering mid-range performance. The 3 GB RAM handles multitasking, and it has an internal storage of 64 GB, which can be expanded further via microSD card. The dual SIM smartphone is capable of running 4G LTE, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and has USB Type-C port for charging and data syncing.
The Gionee Marathon M5 Plus will come in Champagne Gold and Polar Gold colour options, and will be available for a price of Rs. 26,999. It will soon be made available across India, and will be available through various channels.
