Camera of Gionee A1:
Unlike other phones, the primary camera of Ginoee A1 is its front camera. It has 16MP front camera with a customized selfie flash for better selfies even in lowlight condition. The soft lighting effect of this Selfie Flash helps in enhancing facial complexions and giving better selfies. Moreover, Gionee A1 also has Gionee's independent facial enhancement algorithm which can automatically apply custom beauty settings to the selfies. The front camera is also equipped with the 4-cell technology which helps it to capture more light to get clearer selfies.
The rear or the secondary camera is 13MP AF. It has F2.0 aperture and SONY IMX 258 image sensor.
Battery:
Gionee A1 is powered by a 4010-mAh battery with Ultrafast charging capability which can give upto 2-hour talk time in just 5 minutes. The smartphone also has battery saving modes to make the battery last even longer.

Gionee A1 runs on Amigo 4.0 OS which is based on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. A1 has 13.97 cm (5.5) in-cell display with 1920 x 1080 resolution. It has 2 GHz Octa-core P 10 Helios processor with 4GB RAM and 64 GB ROM (expandable upto 256 GB). It is a Dual SIM Dual Standby (Hybrid slot) smartphone with 4G and VOLTE capabilities.
Fingerprint Sensor:
The fingerprint sensor of A1 can unlock the smartphone in just 0.2 seconds and even responds to moist fingers. It can also be used to activate the 'Edgebar' which carries several shortcuts for apps and phone functions.
Appearance:
It has 5.5 inch display and a full metal body that is made out of A6000 aircraft grade material. The device measures 154.5 x 76.5 x 8.3mm and weighs 183 gm. Its rounded edges make the device comfortable to hold in hand.
Price & Availability:
The price of the device hasn't yet been revealed. Pre booking for A1 is to start from March 31. As per Gionee, those who pre-book A1 will be offered a two-year warranty and a JBL headphone or a Swiss Military Bluetooth Speaker.
