Life interrupted my progress on this large canvas painting, but today I began to work on it again. After taking a break from an unfinished painting, I will often view it differently and find a new vision for it. Here's the canvas before I started reworking it:
First I painted lemony yellow, pale peach and pale blue blocks of color in an overall manner, covering up some of the old colors. Then I added spots of medium brown. Finally, I began to block out the "background" with unbleached titanium. I'll finish that process next time.
Canvas #117, 60" x 40" acrylic on canvas.
