TOOTSIES will host “Fashionably Forward” Mother Daughter Fashion show benefiting CHILDREN AT RISK on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 6pm-9pm.
Guests will enjoy holiday nibbles, specialty cocktails, holiday instant photos provided by Snapped Together Photo Booth, Mother/Daughter Duo Fashion Show featuring designs by Alice + Olivia and Leighelena Jewelry and Niven Morgan Personal Appearance and trunk show.

This is an early, all-ages show dedicated to what the group has dubbed Holidaydream (it also has a new CD by that name). Progressive metal and Christmas? Do those two things go together? With Trans-Siberian Orchestra, the answer’s yes: absolutely, magnificently, gloriously. This year the group debuts a new show, The Lost Christmas Eve, based on its acclaimed 2004 rock-opera album. Trans-Siberian Orchestra will be performing on Dec. 23 at American Airlines Center. Tickets start at $46 .and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
One of my favorite things to do around Christmas is to load up the car, stop by Starbucks and get one of those phoofey eggnog or gingerbread latte drinks, crank up the holiday tunes and drive around and look at holiday lights. There are many wonderful neighborhoods and displays you can take in. If you live in the Arlington area, visit the Interlochen Lights Display. It’s one of the largest holiday light displays in north Texas with more than 200 Interlochen homeowners dress up their homes and lawns with Christmas lights and an assortment of holiday-themed displays. This neighborhood is free to cruise. It starts when the sun goes down and ends at 11:30 every night until December 25.
One of the most elegant and over-the-top neighborhoods you can visit is Highland Park where some of Dallas’ most wealthy try to outdo each other with extravagant displays. The best place to enter is at Armstrong Parkway and Preston Road. Another fun way to view this part of town is to park at Highland Park Village, ditch the car and take an open-air carriage ride around Highland Park. If you live in Farmers Branch, drive through the Tour of Lights from 6:30-9:30 at Valley View Lane and I-35. Follow the candy cane signs to take in Fireworks, snow hill, Santas and more. In Frisco, discover Christmas in the Square - a dazzling, choreographed holiday lights and music show that runs from through January 6. Visitors can drive or stroll through and enjoy the shops, restaurants and holiday display around the square. For lots more holiday light options, click here.
