Xiaomi first unveiled MIUI 12, the next big update to its Android skin, in China in April. A month later, the Chinese tech giant hosted a global launch and discussed new features for the MIUI 12.
Sadly, a handful of features showcased in the first event never made it to the world stage and subsequently never made it to the MIUI 12 Global Stable releases. Among them was MIUI 12 sleep tracking, workout tracking, and other fitness features.
But, there is a way by which users can get MIUI 12 features blocked on any Xiaomi device.
Download: MIUI Health App
All the health-related features that were showcased during the launch of MIUI 12 in China can be used through the Mi Health app. You can download the latest version of the Mi Health app from APKMirror. The app supports all Xiaomi devices running MIUI 11 or MIUI 12.
Once installed, you will find sleep tracking, step count, standing and several other features in the app. In the sleep tracker, you can also activate the "Detect snoring and chatter" function, which can further help the device to know more about your sleep pattern. Xiaomi stores all recordings and data on the device, however, users have the option of uploading them to the cloud.
Since the Mi Health app has not been officially released for MIUI 12 Global users, expect some issues and the unavailability of some features. I haven't encountered any particular issue with the Mi Health app, but different Xiaomi users may have different experiences.
