Hi Huneybees,

Get Lit at i Light Singapore 2025 – A Glowing Celebration of SG60 You Can’t Miss!
Get ready to GLOW UP because i Light Singapore 2025 (iLSG) is returning brighter, bolder, and buzzier than ever! From 29 May to 21 June 2025, our iconic Marina Bay and its dazzling surrounds will be transformed into a radiant playground of light art, music, food, and eco-conscious vibes, and you better believe I’ll be there soaking up every bit of the magic.
This year’s theme? “To Gather” and it’s not just a party, it’s a powerful tribute to Singapore’s 60th birthday (SG60!). Organised by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and presented by UOB, this light festival will light up Marina Bay and neighbouring precincts, including returning satellite site South Beach and for the first time, new sites along the Singapore River and at Raffles Place.
Think red-hot passion, energy, and unity, all wrapped up in sustainable sparkle!

Shine Bright Like Singapore: What’s New This Year?

With 17 new light art installations by 20 amazing artists from around the world, you’re not just viewing the art, you’re stepping into it, becoming a part of the experience. It’s interactive, immersive, and totally Insta-worthy. Here are just a few reasons your phone battery’s going to need backup:

Ever danced with 300 flowers that light up and sing to your every move? You will. This glowing garden uses repurposed acrylic waste to bloom into a tech-art dream. Bonus? Design your own meadow will let you craft your own memory charm from the same materials, bringing back a piece of the Festival home.

Forget air-piano, it’s time to walk the talk! Every step on this giant interactive piano triggers a different melody. Yes, YOU are the conductor! You can also chill back and listen to the original composition that will play every ten minutes automatically too!

Craving something deeper? At Clifford Square, Tonoptik lets the ocean speak in waves of digital rhythm, bringing a seemingly regular, flat screen to life, where visitors’ movements alter a virtual landscape on the screen inspired by the ocean, highlighting our relationship with nature’s unpredictable rhythm.

24 glowing letters suspended above the water, quietly waiting for you to bring them to life. Just press one of the three buttons along the boardwalk, and watch as light pulses through the letters, revealing AI-generated messages that echo Singapore’s rich past, dynamic present, and bold future.

It’s interactive, it’s meaningful, and the shimmering reflections dancing on the water below make the whole moment feel almost magical. Don’t be surprised if you stop to read more than once, each message might just speak to you in a new way.

South Beach is Back—with Sensory Surprises

One of the festival’s most enchanting returning locations, South Beach is serving up immersive wonder in its own distinct way.

Let the wind guide your senses with Saulux by SPLACES.STUDIO (Malta). Picture this: delicate willow twigs gently swaying in the breeze, activating waves of light and sound around you. It’s like stepping into a living, breathing symphony that is subtle, poetic, and deeply connected to nature. A must-experience moment for anyone craving calm within the buzz.

Prepare to have your perception twisted with This is Not a Screen. This clever installation uses polarised screens recycled from old electronics to challenge how we see the world. Give them a gentle spin and watch your viewpoint literally shift- an invitation to question how digital technology shapes our individual realities in ways we often overlook.

South Beach might be a quieter stop, but it’s one that's filled with rich layers of storytelling, sensory depth, and introspection. Definitely worth a detour.
