I have naturally curly hair, and I love to baby it. Shampoos that don’t strip the moisture out, conditioners that quench my thirsty hair, etc. I was in the mood to try a new shampoo, so I bought this Biolage Ultra-Hydrating Shampoo since I have tried the Biolage Gelee in the past and liked it. I’ve been dealing with a bit of dryness from the winter weather too, so hydrating shampoos were on my mind.

I was surprised to see this was formulated with Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which is a pretty harsh detergent. I was still willing to give it a try, because sometimes products surprise you. I have been using this regularly for close to two months and so far I am really loving it. It is slightly fragranced, but it isn’t overly strong. It lathers up well, and a little seems to go a long way. It gets my hair and scalp clean, but it doesn’t feel stripped of moisture.
The real test for me is always the long term results, and even after regular use for close to two months I still don’t feel like this strips my hair.
