Most of the Dallas-area will start school on Monday (Can I get a hallelujah!!) and in my house we are already talking about expectations for the new school year. My son is transitioning from Middle School to (gulp) Junior High. The worst years of anyone's life. Varsity Tutors founder Charles Cohn, said, "I realized that my friends would be the perfect tutors — effective communicators, brilliant and fun to be around." So Cohn, a Washington University student at the time, hired five of his college friends and launched Varsity Tutors.  Since then, the company has grown to include tutors nationwide. The company hires professional tutors for its elementary and middle school customers, but Cohn estimates that two-thirds of the company's tutors are in college or graduate school.
Varsity Tutors can come to your home, a library or can do online sessions - whichever is most convenient for you.  Academic tutoring is $55 to $65 per hour and their test prep is $65 to $75 per hour. All of our sessions are 1-on-1 by high caliber tutors and all the lessons are customized to fit the particular needs of each student.
