The smart speaker from Google Home is currently living between worlds. It's no longer available on the Google Store, but many retailers still sell it at the full $ 99 price. It's been a couple of months since we got a really good (not renovated) deal, but I just got one here. You can get one Google Home for $ 75 from Daily Steals when you apply the promo code CNETGHM at checkout.
That's roughly 25% less than any other retailer that stocks Google Home. The only exception: Newegg sells a Two packs of Google Home speakers for $ 149 That also equates to around $ 75 apiece, of course - but this deal only makes sense if, as you know, you need a pair of these. If you only need one, Daily Steals is the winner.
As I said before, I love Google smart speakers because Google is much better at losing knowledge than Alexa, who often acts like a person in the room who always struggles to follow the conversation. Home does everything you would expect; It's compatible with a huge ecosystem of smart home devices, great for tasks like running timers, and always ready to tell you the latest news or play music.
