If you're a player - or only occasionally visit the Cheapskate sites - you probably know that Epic Games is giving away at least one free game every Thursday. This week, Epic is raffling off two games, each of which is usually sold for $ 20. First up is the dungeon crawler Next Up Hero, followed by the fascinating indie adventure game Tacoma. As always, you can download one or both games. Once you do, you can keep it forever.
Next Up Hero is a gauntlet-style dungeon crawler with hand-drawn heroes and fast-paced action. The game offers several ways to play (and replay) the game, and you can play alone or in co-op mode. This title is only available for Windows.
Something happened to the six crew members of this space station, and you uncover it by playing logs and combing through your personal belongings. In each section of the station, you are surrounded by digital representations of crew members who follow their own parallel story threads that diverge, recombine, and split off. The story is told through a series of full and animated interactive AR scenes that immerse you in the events on Tacoma. Available for Windows and Mac.
