Are you a little excited now?

In this article, you will be aware of how wonderful Lenggries is. You will discover the different ski areas. Yes, this will provide you with information on how adventurous your trip can be.

Lenggries is located in the Isar River valley at the foot of the Alps. At 1,500 meters above sea level, Brauneck Mountain, accessible by tram, offers spectacular views and is a popular destination for skiing in winter and hiking in summer.

Lenggries may not be known for its fantastic ski areas on the international ski market, but it has some long and demanding terrain and offers breathtaking views. Located in the Karwendel mountains, it offers numerous huts and restaurants along the ski slopes of the whole mountain.

The Lenggries ski area is located just outside the city and accessible from Lenggries or Wegscheid. Both have regular ski shuttles / buses that will take you to your destination and the ski lifts, as well as huge parking areas at the bottom of the ski lifts.

Brauneck has several lifts for beginner skiers that are located near the parking lots and perfect for practicing before climbing the mountains with the Brauneck cable car. On the top of the Brauneck mountain there is a restaurant. From there, you can go in any direction. Make sure to check the difficulty levels of the routes before taking off. Some black slopes have bumps, so they are not recommended for beginners.

There are other things you can do in Lenggries. For example, there is the "Isarwelle" indoor / outdoor swimming pool which offers all the fun of the reel, including a circular flowing channel called the wild running of the water. Or, the Italian Baroque church of St. Jakob dates back to 1722, as well as the local history museum of Lenggries, located directly on the town hall square, depicts in seven exhibition areas valuable historical and cultural objects from Isarwinkel.
