Geography Affects Upward Income Mobility

mobility-2-master495A groundbreaking study led by the NYT was published today showing that geographic location, as much as any other factor, predicts a person’s upward mobility in terms of income. Geography proves to be as correlative as other factors such as station of birth, education, family structure, and the economic layout of metropolitan areas.
