About the discharge of MethodJosh

NFT market startup lately eliminated a major developer. He was just known to Gem’s staff as Neso. He is one of the main shareholders of the company, which was investigated after allegations of sexual misconduct. It has been confirmed that Josh Thompson or his protégé is better known as the person.

Thompson was a World of Warcraft streamer who used Joshpriest and MethodJosh’s handles. Many victims accused him of several sex-related crimes in 2020.

The company reported on their Discord that they were unaware of these allegations because the team is completely remote, and ‘Neso’ was an unknown developer, something that is common in the NFT and crypto world. Neso was immediately removed from the team after the allegations were investigated.

Despite his professional nickname, a business paper was written in Singapore, where Gem was registered, called Thompson. Settled in the UK, the developer is a main shareholder as well. 16,408 shares in the company were allocated to him, which is equal to the co-founder of the group, Huculak and Vaibhav Saini.

No further details have been released about MethodJosh leaving the company.
