Five men have been arrested over a theft of over 700 kg of garlic from a container in Ragama on Saturday.
Police said the suspects stole garlic from a container loaded with over 30,000 kg of garlic belonging to a private company, which was being transported after being released from the Customs. Two suspects who attempted to sell the stolen garlic and three suspects who came to buy them have been arrested.
