Garden City, New York

Garden City was a nice place to visit in Nassau County, Long Island New York.

I first began to work out there in the year 2005 at the Roosevelt Field Mall. I had a sales support position at JC Penney.

The environment was pleasant back then.

I do not know how it is now since I have not been out that way in a while. The last time I had been to Garden City was around 2018 when I worked as a caregiver.

Not too far from the mall was a gorgeous large area strip-mall that halfway circled part of the block.

There was a huge Barnes and Noble bookstore designed like a two or three-story home with an escalator that I was leery to ride on because of the slanted distance that stretched from the top of the store to the bottom- thank goodness there was an elevator also located inside the building.

Outside the bookstore was a deluxe restaurant with outside Cafe tables and chairs that offered a cozy appeal, especially during summer when the sun shined bright to reflect a ray of delight among the scenery.

There were stores galore within the area, too many to name and I had a fabulous time every day whether inside the mall or outside.

I had so many lovely options when I would take my meal break to eat- a variety of delicious spots.

I would go check out the puppies at the Pet Shop a few steps from the department store where I worked.

All transportation was available from Roosevelt field. A terminal was stationed for a scheduled line of long Island buses for convenience.

There was a pretty carousel that stood in a center-part of the mall where I would frequently sit across from on a bench inside the mall and eat when I was not seated at the table of various restaurant settings.

I had even brought my mother out there for a day. She sat in the mall while I clocked in at work and waited until my lunch break then we walked around and ate together.

Afterwards, she took the bus home as I went back to complete my shift.

Such nice, beautiful memories to look back on!
