GAP x Sofar Sounds, 24th June

By Theneonhub @theneonhub

Earlier this week neon went down to the second of two pretty special and intimate, secret gigs hosted by Gap and musical movement Sofar Sounds for the Gap #Summerloves campaign.

Taking place at The Finishing Hall in Hackney Downs Studios, the gig gave the wonderful Tom Vek the chance to play his brand of alt rock, live to an audience of devoted music lovers.

The first of the two gigs featured two of the faces of Gap’s current #Summerloves advertising campaign, the beautiful and talented Say Lou Lou sisters. If the previous event was anything to go by, we knew we were in for a treat.

First up was indie pop band Crushed Beaks, followed by London based 3-piece Teleman, before Tom Vek took to the stage for his headline performance.

The night was an excellent example of how a grass roots movement such as Sofar Sounds, can partner up with a household name like Gap and still keep the same level of intimacy and authenticity. Gap helped Sofar Sounds amplify their already successful and genius concept.

Both gigs had stellar line-ups, which really gives some indication to the types of artists you can expect in the future from Sofar Sounds.
