A Police Constable who is under suspension for growing ganja in flower pots at his mistresse’s house has been arrested by officers of the Gonaganara Police.
The raid was conducted on Saturday according to information received from the villagers. It has also been revealed from the Police investigation that the Constable has been having an affair for about 5 years and frequently visits the woman’s house in Gonaganara. The Police have also found a bottle of illegal alcohol in the possession of the suspected Police officer. The Police Constable was suspended due to misconduct while working in the Dehiattakandiya Police.
Gonaganara Police stated that the suspect was remanded for 14 days after being presented to Court.
