An underworld member was arrested last Saturday (6) evening with a china-made micro-type firearm and 10 rounds of ammunition by Colombo North Divisional Criminal Investigation Department.
This suspect was arrested in Mattakkuliya, Kadirana, the Divisional Criminal Investigation Division said.
The suspect was a 32 years old resident of Mattakkuliya, Summitpura. He also had 10 grams and 250 milligrams of heroin when he was arrested. According to investigations this suspect was led by two big underworld strongmen in Dubai and India.
