Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9 Plus are excellent smartphones with superior specifications, user experience, and performance capabilities. If you're unsure of which of these devices to go for, here are the key differences between the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus. Both devices are very similar, but breaking things down will help you make the decision.

1. Size and Display

Both the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and the Galaxy Note 9 have a glass front and back, curved edges, along with super AMOLED displays. However, the Note 9 is more squarish along the corners. The main design differences are evident when you have a look at the back camera as well as the overall size. The Note 9 is the overall larger device in terms of the height, width, and thickness; it also feels a little heavier than the Galaxy S9 Plus. The only difference when it comes to photography is that with the Note 9, you get to take advantage of Samsung's new optimizer or the AI mode. This basically allows you to shoot a subject; the phone will detect it and enhance the colours.

3. Performance

Both the Galaxy S9 Plus and the Galaxy Note 9 share the exact same specifications. They have the Snapdragon 845 and 6 GB of RAM. The only difference is that the Note 9 offers you 512 GB internal storage or 8 GB RAM.

4. Battery

One of the biggest differences between both the devices is the battery life. The Galaxy Note 9 is powered by a 4000 mAh battery while the Galaxy S9 Plus has a 3500 mAh battery. You can expect a 10%-12% increase in battery life on the Note 9.

5. S-Pen

The Note 9 has one of the most unique features that set it apart from most phones. If you are someone who jots a lot, who writes down notes, or you're someone who sketches, draws, or doodles, the S-Pen is definitely going to be a key feature you are not going to want to miss out on.

6. Water Cooling Solution

The big difference is that Note 9 has a new cooling solution which has a heat pipe with liquid cooling. This is 3 times the size of what the Note 8 offers you. The big advantage that the Note 9 has with its cooling solution is when you use the Samsung DexStation.

7. Software

The Note 9 comes with a later version of the software with an Android Oreo 8.1.
