Galatians 1:4

"Who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father". - Galatians 1:4

We live in a sin-tainted world. Everything in world has been inflicted by sin. The society we live in has its values compromised. Our culture has widely accepted a variety of sinful practices, making them appear to be okay, and could be experienced without consequences. Just turning on the television for an hour could give you more than a glimpse of today's sensuality. Laws written by men are becoming more and more inspired by lust and convenience.

Realize that the sacrificial death of Jesus on the cross also has the power to save you from this world's sinful cravings. Once you have Him in your heart, He's going to cause a hatred towards sinfulness to thrive in your heart. This is the will of the Father, that those who receive His Son, Jesus Christ will not only be forgiven of their sin, but would also be delivered from its shackles.

Three things cause you and I to sin: our flesh, the devil, and worldliness. Are you currently struggling with pride, lust, envy, selfishness and lovelessness? Be reminded that Jesus had won victory over sin. Engage yourself in prayer and in constant study of God's word. Keep your mind with Scripture, lest you give the devil a foothold. Do something godly in your idle moments.

Child of God, the power over sin is already within your reach. Grasp it.
