British manufacturer Dyson recently launched the DC 59, a cordless vacuum that's one-and-half times more powerful than its predecessor. We took it for a test run and found that its compact size, light weight, and hassle-free cordless configuration made it a dream cleaning tool for apartments.

The DC 59 features a V6 motor, which, according to Dyson, gives it three times more suction power that any other cordless vacuum. It weighs just over four-and-a-half pounds and offers 26 minutes of cleaning time (not run time) per charge. Retail price is $499.99.
