Fusion Food from Box8

By Rohit Dassani

Box8 is a complete food delivery experience in itself. Being one of the fastest growing companies in this sector, this food startup controls every aspect of its service whether it is taste, technology or logistics. The menu is very extensive with more than 100+ products in more than 10 categories. It currently serves in Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune out of their 50+ outlets. You can order one of their All-In-One boxes or fusion boxes or order standalone curries, salads, biryani’s, salads, desserts and so much more. Read my last review on Box8 here.

All you have to do is download the Box8 app and start ordering. You can also order from other popular food delivery apps. We placed our order at their BTM outlet which is closest to my place. As the name suggests everything comes in some form of a box shape. But the food reached on time and was super hot.

Fusion food from Box8

We ordered the Masala Lemonade which is a fusion of the classic nimbu paani with jaljeera for the extra kick. Don’t forget to order the Farmer’s Market Salad which includes almost a handful of veggies with roasted mushrooms and mayo sauce. This salad is so delightful that I ate one complete box by myself. My next favorite is the Veggie Delight Sandwich, again made from a ton of veggies in a multigrain bread. One is enough to keep you running for a day and the taste is amazing. Loved their Whole Wheat Tandoori Paneer Wrap, the paneer had a light smoky charred taste with a mayo sauce and veggies to compliment.

Next we tried the Amritsari Chole Curry with Tawa Paratha. The Chole curry was thick and goes really well with the Tawa Parathas. A pinch of sugar would go a long way in balancing the flavors of the Chola curry. The Mushrooms & Spinach Meal comes with Mushroom in Spinach curry, Paratha, Pulao, Gulab Jamun and Rajma curry. Being a complete meal in itself this can be ordered at office or even at home.

We also had the Paneer Masala box, which comes with tandoori grilled Paneer, salad, pulao and chutney. If you mix everything, you get a super fusion rice combo and I loved the taste of it. Next came the Firangi Subz Biryani with Raita. This biryani had a lot of mushrooms and onions and the taste was sumptuous. For the dessert we had the Choco Lava Cake.
