Story: Fullmetal Alchemist the Revenge of Scar starts as Edward Elric (Yamada) and his brother Alphonse are on their latest adventure. It doesn’t take long before Edward clashes with people trying to take them down.
When a man known as Scar (Machenyu) arrives, he starts hunting down the Alchemists. he wants revenge for his hometown being destroyed in a previous war and Edward is his main target.
Verdict on Fullmetal Alchemist the Revenge of Scar
Fullmetal Alchemist the Revenge of Scar follows on from the 2017 movie. It shows the continuing war between the different alchemists who have used their powers for different levels of destruction.
In the aftermath of the first film, the world has started to rebuild, but the pain suffered has created new enemies. People who have become lost in the world, creating threats from all sides for the alchemists.
This is based on the manga series, which I understand has a much bigger following, this doesn’t seem to have enough going for it to create the intensity within the show. The performances in the film are fine, with nobody reaching the best level. As the wacky adventures see the different abilities the alchemists can hold.
Where to Watch: Fullmetal Alchemist the Revenge of Scar is available on Netflix.
Final Thoughts – Fullmetal Alchemist the Revenge of Scar is a simple sequel.
