Frugal Tip: Preserving Produce

By Catherine Mcdiarmid-Watt @frugalfreebies
Image: Day 15 Preserving ProduceDid you know that if you wrap your celery in foil wrap before putting it in your refrigerator, it could last for up to 5 weeks?
It will still be fresh and crisp when you pull it out!
This also works for stored broccoli for up to 7 weeks wrapped in foil wrap, and heads of lettuce for up to 6 weeks!

No need to cut it up, you can store it still all attached, just like it came home from the store. Just rinse and shake dry. Then wrap tightly in the foil wrap.
