At first, public health officials advised healthy people should not wear masks to protect themselves from coronavirus. But learning more about the virus, some experts are challenging this and saying there is some benefit to covering our faces in public. However, let's make this clear: masks, no matter how effective, are not guaranteed to protect you from COVID-19.
