The tomb attendant explained that the dark tunnel which we entered through represents the toils of the independence struggle, early statehood, death and sacrifice of the great leader, and the base where light glimpsed at us implied hope for the Nigerian nation. The various colours of tiles on the wall denote the ethnic mixture of the country. He concluded by saying that there is hope for our country in spite of the current difficulties.
