Happy Wednesday Y’all! Still trying to get caught up from being out of town. Little M is potty training. We made some forward progress, and then BACKWARDS progress. The turning point (in the wrong direction) happened because he went poo-poo in the potty for the first time at school when the FIRE ALARM went off!!! #why?! Poor guy is traumatized (and apparently the other kiddos because they keep talking about it) and refused to go potty. Luckily, SIL made a great recommendation, and we are using stickers for a reward system. Previously, he was just proud of himself! Anyhow, I’m sure that’s enough potty and poo-poo talk for you!
For those of you that just tuned in, From Grandma with Love is a weekly series (now more like every two to four weeks) that is one of my faves! I’m lucky to be the recipient of my Grandmother-in-law’s beautiful wardrobe. She owned so many unique pieces, and I’ve had the MOST FABULOUS time styling it on the blog. It’s a win-win for me because I ADORE vintage and a fun excuse to wear it!
Okay, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this silver cowl neck dress. It’s so SHINY but subtle. Obviously, I’m kin to the ostrich because I LOVE all SHINY things. When I first saw it, I was ready to wear it to NYFW, but it was a little warm for this long-sleeved maxi when I went earlier last year. I’m wearing it casually with a jeweled clutch and wedges in these pics, but it would be a cinch to glam it up with minimal heels and major earrings!
THE STYLE Rx: Go for the SILVER! Don’t pass up a silver (or gold) gem like this maxi! Balance the shimmer with neutral accessories or bling it up for some dramatic play! Don’t be afraid to shine!
